In the sixth article of this series an author considers peculiarities of rigging and sails of Ancient Egyptian ships at the end of the 18th Dynasty (1338–1295 BC). Rich collection of models from the tomb of Tutankhamun contains a lot of information on this subject. Even if the models were made in haste for funerals of the king, they are detailed enough to surpass in importance several known reliefs of this time. The latter, however, contain complementary information and are also considered in the paper.
